7 Top Celebrity Diets

We all have looked at celebrities in an awestruck manner wondering just how they manage to keep their bodies looking like they have been photoshopped. A lot of sacrifice and strength goes in order for them to have such desirable bodies. For one, they follow a strict diet. Here are some of the top celebrity diets.

1. Macrobiotic diet

Pop diva Madonna popularized this diet which made her lose 12 pounds successfully. This diet is high in fiber and foods consumed include uncooked foods and soy products. However, the macrobiotic diet is not ideal to pursue for the long term and you are sure to get bored of this bland palate soon.

2. Fruitarian diet

What do Mahatma Gandhi and Steve Jobs have in common? Not much apart from their fruitarian diet perhaps. When 75% or more of your diet consists of fruits, then this diet is being followed. Vegetables, fruits without seeds and nuts are the main things to consume while dairy and meats are banned.

3. Maple syrup diet

Beyond singlehandedly bought this diet into global spotlight when she attributed her miraculous weight loss and toned body in her movie Dreamgirls to this food plan. In this short term diet plan, users have to take in only a syrup mixed with lemon juice, water and cayenne pepper, for a about two weeks. Besides helping in losing weight, this diet also makes the skin clearer and glowing.

4. Blood type diet

Renowned personalities like Elizabeth Hurley and Martine McCutcheon have recommended the blood type diet to aspiring dieters for getting in shape. While Hurley post 12 pounds while following this diet, McCutcheon slimmed down to a size 10 on this regimen. This food plan divides people into 4 sections namely, A, B, AB and O. People are advised to eat as per the blood group and the diet’s creator Dr Peter D’Adamo believes that if we stick to suggested foods suitable for different blood types, the body will digest food more effectively, resulting in weight loss.
