5. Rinse with mouthwash

Besides the good old habit of brushing twice a day, you also need to wash your mouth with a good fluoride mouthwash before going to bed. It helps your breath remain fresh and fortifies the tooth enamel.

6. Change toothbrushes after a couple of months

It is advisable to change your toothbrush after every two or three months of regular usage because if you don’t do so, you would just be transferring bacteria to your mouth instead of eliminating them.

7. Visit your dentist at least twice a year

Going for regular dental check up to your dentist’s clinic is a must. Even if you feel you are taking top class care of your teeth, a dentist can always advise you about whether you are on the right track as far as oral hygiene is concerned. If your dentist recommends any dental procedure such as a root canal or a cavity filling, do not delay it for later, do it immediately.
