1. Mariel Zagunis, USA
This 27-year-old American athlete is a fencer and has won several gold medals. She is the second woman from USA in the history of Olympics to have won gold medals twice in fencing. Hopes are high for her achievements in the upcoming London Olympics.

2. Natalie Coughlin, USA
Natalie Coughlin is an American swimmer who has won 11 medals at the Olympics till date. She is the first woman in the history of Olympics to have won six medals in one single Olympics game. If she wins in the upcoming Olympics as well, she is all set to become the most decorated female athlete in the history of U.S. Olympics.

3. Stephanie Rice, Australia
Stephanie Rice is a 24-year-old Australian swimmer who holds a world record in 400 meter women’s individual medley. Not only that, she has also won three gold medals at the 2008 Olympic Games held in Beijing. This hot Australian athlete won the Telstra Australian Swimmer of the Year Award in 2008.

4. Lolo Jones, USA
This 29-year-old American track and field athlete is one of the best in the world as far as the game of pole vaulting is concerned. She can run fast and jump over hurdles with such panache that she actually makes the game look easy. She won a silver medal at the Olympics in 2008. She is all set to participate in the upcoming London Olympics as well.

This 21-year-old Russian long jumper already holds a record - 7.03 meter which is an all time second best for junior long jumpers. She has also been titled as the world’s hottest pro long jumper. Alex Morgan is a 22-year-old soccer player and was the youngest player to have represented the U.S. in the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup. In 2008, she played for the winning team at the FIFA under 20 Women’s World Cup. She is definitely someone to watch out for in the upcoming London Olympics.

30-year-old Leryn Franco is a Paraguayan athlete who specializes in javelin throw. She has already competed at the Olympics and is set to participate in the upcoming London Olympics as well.
