Instead you can rely on safe and natural products and create one of your own easily. Peel and mash an avocado. Whisk in an egg yolk and two spoons of olive oil. Use this paste to massage your damp scalp. Use a shower cap to hold your hair in place. Stay for an hour before rinsing thoroughly with a suitable shampoo.

3. Do not apply excess shampoo

While shampooing is important in order to keep your hair clean, overdoing it can actually cause damage to hair. Shampoos often contain harsh agents that can strip hair of its moisture and natural oils. Gentle shampoos that have a pH between 4.5 and 6.7 and acidic shampoos are good for your hair. There is a popular misconception that baby shampoos are gentle but they are as a matter of fact, harsher for your hair.

4. Say no to alcohol

Too much alcohol is not just bad for your body but it also causes ill effects on your hair. Alcohol has a tendency to dehydrate and products containing alcohol can strip moisture away from your hair. Do your hair a world of good by using alcohol-free and natural products.
