7 Google Tricks You Must Know

Granted everyone knows more or less what usefulness Google has, but not everyone is aware of the many shortcuts to do interesting things using Google. 1. Set timer

If you wish to set yourself a deadline to complete a certain task, Google is at your service! You can easily set up a timer by just typing in “Set timer” followed by the duration for which you wish to set the timer in the Google search box, and Google will open up a stopwatch for you. You have the option of making this timer full screen set up an optional alarm system with sound to alert you once the countdown finishes. Also, you can reset the timer any time you want.

2. Calculate dinner tip

Have you ever been caught in a situation where you were unable to decide how much tip to leave at the restaurant you just had dinner at? Well, Google is at your rescue again! Type “tip calculator” in the search box and Google will calculate the amount of tip you should leave. You just have to enter the amount of the total bill and number of persons.

3. Search within a website

Sometimes you may want to search for something particularly within a website and not all over Google. In such cases too, you can use a simple Google trick. Just type “site:” followed by the URL of the website and whatever you wish to search for within that website in the search box and Google will do the searching for you in that website!

4. Know sunrise and sunset timings

Google can also give you the exact time of sunrise and sunset of a particular country including the one you are currently in. All you need to do type in “sunrise” or “sunset” followed by the name of the country you want the information about, in the Google search box.
