7 Foods for Picky Eaters

5. Make sandwiches of different shapes

Take thinly sliced white or whole-wheat bread. Afterwards, spread the filling on one slice of bread and top it with the second slice. You can use cheese slices, chicken slices, vegetables, etc. as filling. You can mix different breads to make the sandwich interesting. For instance, you can use one slice of white bread and one slice of brown bread to make the sandwich colorful. Don’t forget to trim the crusts. Cut the sandwiches into triangles or into different shapes using cookie cutters.

6. Make a vegetarian or non-vegetarian quesadilla

Heat a skillet in moderation until its surface is hot. Place one tortilla in the skillet and cook it until the underside is warm. Now, flip the tortilla and sprinkle cheese on its surface. Also, sprinkle turkey and apple on it. Top it with the second tortilla and cook until the underside is toasted. Flip the quesadilla and toast the second side. Now, put it on a cutting board, cut it into 5 to 6 wedges and serve hot with salsa sauce. This recipe provides you a better alternative than an unhealthy pizza filled with saturated fat and no nutrients.

7. Make healthy smoothies

Smoothies help you to slurp up calcium and other nutrients. You can mix a mango, low-fat yogurt, honey, fresh lime juice, ice cubes and freshly grated lime zest in a blender. Divide this mango-lime smoothie in two straight-sided glasses and keep it aside. Now, rinse the blender and whirl a banana, strawberries, plain yogurt, honey, fresh lemon juice and grated lemon zest in it. Now, layer the banana-strawberry smoothie onto the mango smoothie, making clean horizontal lines.
