4. Delayed response

If you ask an unexpected question to someone and he/she takes a rather long time in giving a proper response, then it could mean that the person is trying to cook up a reply. This is a common trait of liars when they are trying to come up with a lie.

5. Unnecessary details

If a simple question like “What did you do last evening?” leads to an unnecessarily lengthy response, then it could be a sign of lying. The person may feel the need to over-justify his/her actions and might try really hard to make you believe in what he/she is saying. This could lead to a number pointless details.

6. Excessive nose-touching

There have been many researches that show that when a person is lying, he/she will tend to touch the base of his/her nose a lot. This action is a red flag and must not be taken lightly.
