4. Stick to a schedule

If you are a serious runner, you need to set a schedule. Your schedule should include your wake up and sleep time and your power naps. Running early in the morning is best, so try to stick to it. Take good care of your diet also. You could take help of a professional or hire a coach to increase your stamina in running.

5. Know where to practice

Where you practice is very important. Do not rush for hilly tracks or difficult tracks. Begin with simple flat and straight tracks where many others come for a stroll or walk and run. When you choose a place where more number of people are exercising, it inspires you to do the same. If you are working on a treadmill initially, then do go out for jogging once in a while and then completely shift out of the gym. As you progress, take tracks with turns and slopes. This would help a lot to get your running stamina going.

6. Take care of your feet

If you are aspiring to be a great runner, think of your feet. You must wear proper footwear when you are running. Wearing incorrect footwear could damage your feet and you might not feel comfortable running. Begin with good quality sports shoes and then as you progress and are running good, buy special shoes for running.
