6 Ways to Deal With Morning Sickness

4. Take proper rest

One thing that many women ignore, especially working women, is the value of taking proper rest. If you are tired, then you are more likely to experience nausea. Sleep early and do not exert your body. If you feel sick when you wake up, then stay in the bed for a while and get up slowly. Give yourself some time. This will go a long way in keeping morning sickness at bay.

5. Practice good food habits

You may not even want to look at food when you are going through morning sickness, but it is important to not keep your stomach empty because that will make the nausea worse. You need not eat a proper meal if you do not feel like it. Go for some dry toast or a biscuit before you get up from the bed. You must keep snacks with you all the time. If you are a working woman, then you can keep things like grapes, nuts, crackers, peppermint candies, and the likes in your office drawer.

6. Distract yourself

It may not be easy to think of something else when you are feeling nauseated but if you keep all your focus on it, then it will only make things worse. Try to keep yourself distracted by reading a book, talking to a friend, solving a puzzle or going for a walk. Just do whatever you can to not focus on the nausea. However, do not exert yourself if you are feeling tired.
