You can delay your marriage plans by convincing your boyfriend that getting married will mean the end of all the fun in your individual lives. He will have to cut down on the amount of time he hangs out with his friends, he won’t be able to stay at his friends’ place on the weekend and he will have to cut down on partying. All these things will give him an indication that all the fun times in his life will come to a complete standstill if you both get married right now.
5. Tell him that your parents want you to wait longer
If you can’t find any excuses to make your boyfriend delay your marriage plans, just tell him that your parents want you to wait a bit longer. Tell him that your parents think that it is best if you both wait a few more years before tying the knot.
