6 Tips to Make Walking on the Treadmill More Fun

Do you find walking on the treadmill really boring? Do you keep insisting that your gym trainer puts you to other exercises or machines?
That happens with a lot of people! However, what you need to understand is that walking on the treadmill is one of the easiest forms of warm up, and your trainers insist you do this regularly, so that you can prepare your body well for other forms of exercise. Plus, walking is the best way to lose weight. If you find the walk to be very boring, then here are some ways in which you can make it more fun.

1. Alternate pace

Keep alternating the speed of the treadmill between fast and slow. That way, you can jog, run and walk, and as you alternate between these activities, your fifteen minutes on the treadmill will fly away really quickly.

2. Listen to music

You can walk, run or jog as per the tempo of your favorite songs. If one song finishes midway, and the other one starts with a different tempo, change and adjust your speed as per that song. Before you know it, you’d have enjoyed at least four songs, and your walk would be done!

3. Get a friend on the next machine

Most gyms have a minimum of two treadmills. So you can get your friend to be on the machine next to yours, and you can chitchat happily, as you finish your walk on the treadmill. That way, you won’t get to know of the time much.
