6 Things To Remember While Booking Tickets Online

4. Find out about refunds and other policies

Always read through the refund and other policies of the website or the agent you are booking your tickets from. Many times people feel that the rules for all agencies are the same, but that is not the case really. So it is best to go through all the terms and conditions well beforehand, so that in case you have to cancel your tickets for some reason, you know how much money is coming back, and you don’t lose all of it in the process of cancellation.

5. Check out validity and expiry dates

Just because you are tempted with a travel or airfare deal doesn’t mean that you book it instantly. Always check how long the deal is valid for, and if there are any rules and regulations or terms and conditions with respect to the time period in which you are supposed to make use of the deal. People often don’t check the validity period or the expiry date of a deal or a ticket, whether it is plane tickets, or tickets to some sight seeing place, and land up losing all the money they spent.

6. Confirm your train bookings

In some railway networks of the world, just purchasing a ticket does not guarantee a seat as such. It means that you are on the waiting list, and in case someone cancels a previously made booking, you will be allotted a seat. So always check this beforehand to know whether you have a confirmed seat or not, or else you might have to travel standing. Or you might not be allowed on-board at all, because a non-confirmed ticket even on the travel day automatically stands for a canceled ticket, the money for which will be reimbursed in your account on its own. Do go through all of these details well beforehand.
