6 Signs You’re not Prepared for an Exam

4. You are planning to open your books a week before the exams

When students prepare for exams, they begin studying weeks or months in advance depending on the intensity of the test. Without having a look at your coursework, if you have decided to begin studying only a few days before your exam, it is a sign that you are unprepared to appear for them. You have to invest some time and effort in studying for an exam even if you want to get a passing grade.

5. You feel blank

A feeling of blankness is common among students who have not prepared for an exam. Students who are thorough with the coursework are likely to be at ease because they know what they have studied. Being nervous about an exam is one thing, but being completely blank before you appear for it is another thing altogether.

6. You haven’t done supplementary reading or work

Many subjects involve doing supplementary work including referring to books from the library, doing lab work, taking field visits, studying samples and carrying out surveys. These are the kinds of things that have to be done during the course of the year in order to understand the principles of a subject. The learning from these activities cannot be absorbed overnight. If you haven’t been doing such supplementary work, you are likely to be unprepared for an exam.
