1. Love and appreciate what you have

Acknowledge your strengths and be thankful that you have them. Look into the mirror and learn to love what you see. Look around yourself and you will see that no single person is perfect and in fact it was meant to be that way. So focus on your strengths and capitalize on them. 2. Surround yourself with positivity

Stay away from negative people. You may have some friends who are always critical of you. Just stay away from them. Some amount of constructive criticism is good but if we keep on listening to negative things about us all the time, we will finally start to believe in it. Be friends with people who appreciate and support you rather than criticizing you all the time.

3. Be optimistic

There are always two ways to look at things – either from the positive side or from the negative side. Instead of focusing on the negative side, it is important to focus on the brighter side of events. In fact optimism is directly proportional to self-esteem. Optimism about ourselves, about others and about life in general leads to improved self-esteem.
