5 Ways to Eat Flaxseeds

We’ve all heard that Flaxseeds are great for our health. They are the richest possible plant source of Omega-3 fats and play an important role in maintaining our heart health and preventing diabetes as well as inflammatory diseases. They are also easily available all over the world for us to buy. However, how exactly are we supposed to consume them? Can they just be eaten raw or is there a way that you can make them a part of your diet and meals on a regular basis? Here are some ways in which you can eat flaxseeds.

1. In Salads and Sandwiches

Roasted Flaxseeds can be easily added to your daily favorite salads and sandwiches along with other vegetables and regular toppings and sauces. The flaxseeds add a little crunch to the dish and make it tastier. This way, the taste also gets mixed with other things, so if you don’t like the taste of flaxseeds individually, this is a good way to consume them.

2. In Dough Or Smoothie

The Omega-3 of the Flaxseeds is actually located inside the seed, so it is vital to chew the seeds thoroughly for maximum benefit. The easiest way to do this is to grind the seeds and use the powder to add to your daily dough of breads, or in a smoothie, or even in a gravy dish for that matter.

3. Cook In The Oil

Flaxseed Oil may not be the best and most friendly cooking medium, but it can be used for light sautéing, or to add on top of salads and mix with dressings. You can get your daily dose of flaxseeds by using the oil, if you are not too fond of the seeds.
