5 Top Reasons Why You Should not Get Married at All

Marriage is a wonderful bond of companionship to have in one’s life. But if your heart is not into it, then there is no point in getting into something, which you will only regret for the rest of your life. In other words, what makes a marriage beautiful is the willingness of the people involved in the relationship to be together, and stick by each other always. That being said, a number of problems can arise once you get married. Here are a few of them.

1. You lose your freedom

It is often believed that marriage, in a way, binds people, and sets limitations on their individual choices and likes. One of the biggest benefits of not marrying at all is to have the freedom of being yourself, and doing whatever you like. There will be no one to judge you for your mistakes and you can live life at a comfortable pace. Your trial and error days will not be limited, and you will learn to be independent.

2. There are too many expectations

A major problem that most married people face is the bag of expectations that comes along with the institution of marriage. There are expectations in terms of spending time with each other, developing a family, bringing up kids, monetary support, to name a few. If you are not the kind of person who seeks happiness in fulfilling someone else’s expectations, then maybe marriage is not for you. When you are free from such expectations you will not feel guilty that you are disappointing someone.

3. You can’t focus on your well being

When you are married, you have to take care of not just your own family, but also your spouse’s family. There is always the added pressure of catering to everyone new family member you meet. However, when you are not married, the stress is only about yourself – your education, your career, your happiness, your health and wealth, and your well being in general.
