4. Ignore the thought of “what if”

If thoughts like, “What if I don’t get a promotion?”, “What if I lose my job?” or “What if my partner ditches me?” are really bothering you and causing a worry, we suggest you remove the very concept of “what if” from your mind and your vocabulary. The reason why we say this is because the entire concept of “what if” is based on a probability that neither you, nor anyone else is going to know until an event actually happens. Stop worrying and start living happily by dealing with issues as and when they arise.

5. Set a “worry time”

We understand that it may be impossible to simply ignore all the worries in your life and live a fully worry-free life. Well, that’s just not practical. But what you can do, is set aside a time in the day to think about and manage the issues or worries that are bothering you on a daily basis. Make sure that you start tackling your worries within this time period. For example, you can set 5 pm to 6 pm, which may be your daily time to commute home, as your “worry time”.
