5 Stupid Fashion Trends to Avoid
Staying fashionable is sometimes like walking a tight rope. Well, at times, you manage to do it supremely well and at few other times, it could turn out to be catastrophes. While there are many fashion successes in trends that have ruled the century, there are also fashion disasters that are equally or much more popular than their successful counterparts. A few of these are enumerated below.
1. Leg Warmers
Leg warmers were unbelievably popular in the 80s especially when many actresses sported them in movies, which were predominantly related to dancing. Although functional in a way that they help you prevent injuries, they look ridiculous on other occasions. They do everything other than making the wearer look fashionable.

2. Large Shoulder Pads
Shoulder pads were essentially created to offset slouchy or droopy shoulders. On the contrary, they managed quite well to create an impression of bulk and made the lady look much heavier than she was. Many women in the 80s adored this look and the trend has been surfacing every now and then but never made it big, fortunately.

3. Statement Shoes
Fashion is about style and being in sync with the contemporary age. However, a fashion trend that is least comfortable is not being fashionable in the first place, irrespective of its visual appeal. Statement shoes fall under this category. When a trend causes more risks of injury than seeming beautiful, it becomes a fashion disaster.

4. Baggy Pants
Probably one of the most popular fashion trends that dominated the fashion scene in the late 80s and possibly the early 90s, baggy pants do their share of rounds even today in a slightly better form. The quintessential baggy pant defies all rules of the body and fit and creates a very disembodied and shabby look that is neither appealing nor fashionable. Worse still are the ones that do not stay on the waist or hip and needing to be tended to every once in a while.
5. Harem Pants
If you are planning to disfigure your body, you might possibly do it successfully with a pair of harem pants. The trend prevents you from possessing long and lean legs that are so much talked about and desired by men and women alike. It is like adding a further ten pounds to the lower half of your body with not much effort.
