5 Reasons You are not Sleeping Well
Sleep is a very important need for the human body to function right. It is as important as eating healthy and drinking water regularly. A good night of sleep not only refreshes you, but also heals your body if you had stressed it much during the day. As much as we need sleep and as important it is to us, not all of us get a good night’s sleep. We wake up in the morning with a bad mood, too tired to do stuff and generally mess up our day and that of the others. There are so many reasons as to why we do not sleep well during the night and here are a few.
1. You take a lot of stress to the bed
When you hit the bed, you should do so with a clear head. Working your head to death when you are sleeping does not help you a bit. It is only in your relaxed state that you can make any good decisions. So relax when you hit the bed and sleep well. And always remember to leave stress behind be it work related or stress from the others members at home.
2. You eat a lot
If you stuff your stomach with way too much food you will find it difficult to sleep properly. Your stomach has to work overtime to digest all the food inside. Also the fact that your stomach looks and feels like a stuffed turkey will make it difficult for you to get a good posture and you will end up tossing and turning through the night.
3. You go to sleep on an empty stomach
This happens when you have been dieting and you do not eat enough during the night. It is important to fill your stomach to get a good night’s sleep. An empty stomach will only give you a disturbed sleep and make you crave for food in the middle of the night. So even if you are dieting, make sure you fill your stomach with food that have less calories.
