5 Effects of Wearing Heels

‘Stilettos, pumps, wedges, spools, platform’ are a few words that excite most women. These are the commonly used heeled footwear among women. With lovely pedicured feet, women find heels very attractive and complimenting their entire look. They love to boost their height by a pair of stunning heels. While there have been changes in the style of footwear from time to time, the trend of wearing heels has remained unchanged. But as it goes, every good thing has some drawbacks. The same applies to heels; there are a few side effects to it that need your immediate attention.

1. Back pain

While walking on heels, the entire body pressure is concentrated on the back. This causes low blood circulation around that area accompanied by a pinching pain in the back and hip.

2. Foot pressure

Your foot is at the most awkward position when on heels. The pinching heels certainly end up causing severe pain to your feet. Sandals carry your whole body weight and when on heels, the pressure gets intense and unmanageable.

3. Imbalanced walking

When on heels, a woman’s posture changes. Not all woman can balance well while wearing heels. Walking becomes extremely uncomfortable for them. There is a tendency to lose balance, trip and fall down. In such cases, there is a chance to sprain your ankle. Muscles and tendons inflammations may also occur. Walking is said to be a good form of exercise, but not when on heels!
