5 Diy Skin Care Remedies

We all want to look fresh, young and beautiful, and many a times we end up spending thousands of bucks going to beauty salons. Wouldn’t it be just amazing if there were some simple skin care remedies that you could DIY (Do It Yourself)? Well, there sure are! Here are 5 simple DIY skin care remedies that you could do for a better looking skin.

1. After sun lotion

You will be needing some black tea bags or leaves, about 15 drops of lavender oil, 2 tablespoon of aloe vera gel, and 3 drops of chamomile or peppermint oil for this lotion. Boil the tea in 2 ounces of water and mix the essential oils with it. Then pour it in a bottle and leave it in a fridge to cool down. Then you could apply it after a cold shower.

2. Dry feet or cracked heels cream

Firstly, start by soaking your feet in a mixture of 1 part warm water and 1 part vinegar for about 30 minutes. This will soften your skin and remove dead cells. Then wash your feet with cold water and wipe thoroughly. Next, make a mixture of 1 tablespoon honey, 1 tablespoon coarse salt, 1 tablespoon rice vinegar, and 1 tablespoon olive oil. Scrub this paste to your dry skin and cracked heels. You may also apply petroleum jelly after washing off the paste.

3. Lip balm

All of us need lip balms, especially during winter. Those chapped lips are plain ugly and irritating. While you may get several different brands available in the market, here is one you won’t find anywhere. Add 2 tablespoon of almond oil and 1 tablespoon of beeswax pellets in a glass jar and close the lid. Heat the jar in a pot on medium temperature. Remove the jar from the pot and stir the mixture. Then add 7-8 drops of peppermint oil. Add slight amount of your lipstick to the mixture to get a slight tint. Then pour the mixture into a container and wait for it to cool down and become hard. Your DIY lip balm is ready.
