It’s time to crawl under the blanket and sip a hot tea- after all, winter is here! Well, agreed that it’s the best time to snuggle in but remember it is also the best time for some pampering. Winter blues will not only keep your moods out of track, but it can have a wacky effect on your skin, if you ignore. Dry skin, chapped lips, cracked heels, the list of winter woes continue. Keep your skin warm, radiant and healthy during winter by following these 5 beauty treatments.

1. Get a radiant skin with exfoliation

Start by taking a shower in warm water. Apply petroleum jelly to your hands, legs and other body parts. Take some exfoliating cleanser on to a loofah pad and scrub the skin you coated with petroleum jelly gently in circular motions and wash it off. This way, you remove the dead cells without harming your skin. Go for exfoliating gel with alpha hydroxy acid or beta hydroxy acid content for your face. It will remove dead skin and give a glow to your face. Similarly, you can protect your lips by massaging it with a mixture of sugar and olive oil and washing it off before applying a lip balm.

2. Indulge in a hot stone massage

Nothing can be more relaxing than a hot stone massage during the chilling season. Warm your bones and indulge in a relaxation massage. Cold can at times cause sprains in the neck, muscle pain and stress. A hot stone massage done by an expert is the best remedy for it. The massage can also improve blood flow and make your skin more radiant and refreshing.

3. Practice winter-friendly hair care

You feel the bitterness of cold, so does your hair. It tends to be drier, frizzier leading to breakage and split ends. Keep it warm and healthy by following a few winter care tips. Use a good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. But, do not use shampoo very often during winter as its saps the natural oil from the scalp. Warm two teaspoons of olive or coconut oil and massage it on your scalp. Leave it for few minutes and wash it off. You can also apply honey to your hair ends before washing your hair. This will give shine and bounce to your hair.
