4 Signs of Infertility in Women

3. Hormonal imbalances

If you are having periods that are irregular, painful, occurring within short or very long gaps, it may also point to hormonal imbalances. Hormonal imbalances can be a symptom of infertility. You may experience symptoms like thinning hair, depression, heart palpitations, a lowered sex drive. While these are not necessarily symptomatic of infertility, they must not be ignored. A visit to the GP can help determine if it is connected to infertility or any other underlying condition.

4. Successive miscarriages

Miscarriage is the loss of pregnancy before the twentieth week. Normally, doctors suspect infertility after two or more miscarriages. It is not a sure sign, but if you have experienced it three times in a row then it’s an indication. However, the good news is that even if you have had multiple miscarriages, the chance of having a successful pregnancy does not go down to zero.
