4 Celebrities Who Were Geeks
Celebs, who are always dressed to kill, never fit into the typical image of a bespectacled nose-in-the-book kind of geek. They are style icons for every person who do not bury their nose in the book. Now, to think of such celebs as geek themselves is something of an anticlimax. However, their story before they rose to stardom sings to a different tune. Here are four celebs, who are ravishing, sexy and stunning and as far flung from geekiness as possible, but deep down they are just that – Geeks!
1. Vin Diesel
Originally Mark Vincent, this brawny actor who makes people round the world get jelly legs was geek personified before he became “the star”. He is still completely involved in his game development house Tigon Studios. Guess what this brawny heartthrob geek came out with - The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, which went to become a chart topper in the gaming industry.

2. Natalie Portman
This stunning Golden Globe winner is also a Harvard alumnus. She kept up her interest in studies after entering the glam world as well. Jaws dropped when she bunked the premier of her movie ‘The Phantom Menace’ because she had her exams coming up. If that is not a geeky commitment, what is?! A consistent “A” grader at school, a research assistant to the famous law professor Alan Dershowitz in Harvard and a scholar in four languages, this stunner is brains all the way.

3. Kate Beckinsale
Yes, this beautiful star from the Matrix is a hardcore geek. Kate Beckinsale is an Oxford graduate language expert and has mastered German, French and Russian and nurtures a secret desire to be a librarian. Well, who would visit her library to read books by the way? Other geeks like her, of course! Or perhaps a few werewolves and vampires?!

4. Dolph Lundgren
This muscle man from the 80s who impressed the audience with his rippling body, clean cut looks and those intense deep eyes is a geek in his own right. With an IQ of 160, this martial arts specialist and movie director did his Bachelor’s from Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden, and went on to finish his Master’s degree in chemical engineering and won Fullbright Scholarship to the prestigious MIT. He then did ‘He-Man’ and the rest as they say, is history.
