Exercise Ball Workouts to Shape Your Body

The word ‘ball’ evokes the happy memories of childhood playtime and fun. Now you can let the fun continue by using the ‘ball’ to exercise your entire body, toning your muscles and to shape your body. What more can you ask for! So, here are 3 exercise ball workouts to help you shape your body:

1. Enjoying a ride above the ball

• For this workout, you need to ride above the ball. Make sure the ball is comfortably under your stomach. You can balance yourself by touching your hands and knees to the floor.

• Now gradually try to lift your right leg and left arm simultaneously.

• As you raise your arm and leg, maintain your balance on the ball. Hold your position with your right leg and left arm in the air. Count till 10 and gradually relax

• Now repeat the same move with left leg and right arm.

• Do this exercise 10 -15 times as per your comfort level. Gradually increase your challenge.

2. Ball Squats

• Find a wall where you can exercise for ball squats. Now stand in a position so that the ball is squeezed slightly between the wall and your lower spine.

• Relax and place your feet as apart as the width of your hips. Keep your hands relaxed at your sides

• Now slowly try to get into a sitting position. Bend gradually by ensuring that your back remains in constant contact with the exercise ball.

• Hold your position for five seconds. Slowly relax and get back to your standing position. Ensure that you don’t lose contact with the ball.

• Repeat this exercise 10-15 times according to your comfort level.
