6. Set a time limit

Setting a time limit will enable you to know how much time you need on a particular task. In this way, you can easily complete a task in that time. If you take more time than the preset time limit, then you know something is lacking.

7. Foresee what you will achieve

This is a really helpful task to help you stay focused. What is that you’re doing at the moment? Are you writing a novel or starting a business? Envision the future now. What do you see after finishing your novel and getting it published? What do you get after you start your business? That sense of achievement is something divine.

8. Meditate

Meditating always helps in focusing on the task at hand. Practise some simple asanas such as those of deep breathing and many more. It will help you to stay more focused.

9. Don’t interrupt yourself

By this we mean, get away from the Internet or the social networking phenomenon of the Internet. This will only keep you away from your work and prolong the task. Don’t even think of checking your emails or messages on your smartphone. It’s not at all a smart thing to do, when trying to stay on focus.

10. Start new habits

If you want to bring about a change in your life, then it’s better to inculcate it as a habit. For instance you want to lose weight or stay fit. Thus, join a gym and be regular. Fix a time when you’ll visit the gym everyday. Keep this going for at least 20 days. Keep a reminder that you need to visit the gym now. After 20 days or so, you won’t need reminding as it will already be inculcated in you as a habit.
