10 Signs Your Friendship is On The Decline

Signs Your Friendship is On The Decline

Everything comes with an expiry date and friendship is no exception. Only a few bonds remain consistent throughout life. So, if you are worried that your friendship is fizzling out lately, here are some signs that will prove whether you are right or wrong, as the case may be.

1. You two hardly meet

Just because you can’t spend the same amount of time with your friend like you use to spend during your school and college days, with all the work and ever diminishing personal time, doesn’t mean you are going to see your friend just once in a decade. So, if many weekends have passed since you last saw your buddy, something is definitely awry with your friendship.

2. You seldom talk to your friend

You may not see your friend quiet often but at least you must talk to your him/her once a while. Friends are like oxygen and you can’t live without them. So, if that is no longer the case for you two, that is a definite indication that your friendship is at a decline.

3. The bonhomie of old days is missing

Remember the time when you could chat and giggle from morning to night and still feel there was so much left to talk? Times may have changed and you might not share the same friendly moments of yester years any more. This could mean your friendship is on a downward spiral.

4. Misunderstandings have become rampant

Fights should be left for your enemies and friends should be synonyms for fun. Arguments should only be few and far in between but if their frequency and intensity are on a rise, it is indeed a cause for concern regarding the friendship between the two of you.

5. You can’t stand each other

Have you started getting fed up of your friend’s annoying remarks or feel like smothering him/her when he/she makes a joke about you? In that case, your friendship is as dead as a dodo and it will do you both good to stay a million miles away from each other.
