10 Fun Ways To Conserve Water

10 Fun Ways To Conserve Water

We all know how important it is to conserve water, don’t we ladies? But do we really put in effort to do so? I don’t think so. The whole thought of saving water need not be tedious, it can be fun too! Let’s run through 10 super fun ways you can save water, and have a ball doing it.

1. Take showers together

This will probably mean that your partner will get ‘lucky’ more often but hey look at the bright side – you save water while bringing the spice back in your relationship! How good is that? While this may not be possible on weekdays, make sure you spice up your weekends by taking showers with your partner. Has to be numero uno in my list of fun ways to save water.

2. Use a good dishwasher

Did you know that inefficient dishwashers may use up to 10 gallons of water on a full load? I’d suggest that you buy a dishwasher that has at least a 3 star/AAA rating or more. As surprising as it sounds, you can use the water usage by more than half if you use an efficient machine. What’s the benefit for you? Better efficiency means less use of water and electricity. Cut down your bills too!

3. Use a dry shampoo

How often do you wash your hair? Is it really necessary or are you afraid of your hair becoming puffy and dirty if you don’t use the shampoo? If you seem to be a victim of this thought, a dry shampoo is the way to go. The best part is that it does not involve the long drawn process of washing your hair. Application is easy as it is dry, and removal is even easier as you simply comb it away to bring back the freshness in your hair! How cool is that?

4. Put on a show – wash the car with a bucket and a sponge

Washing your car with a bucket and a sponge will save a lot of water. And I mean a lot! Where’s the fun part in this, do you ask? Well the fun bit comes in where you can put on a skimpy bikini and give your guy a garden chair and a six pack of beer. Wash the car in front of him to give him a good treat on the weekend. For one, you will save water and do your bit for the environment. Two, you will definitely earn brownie points from your partner and maybe get him to buy you those diamond earrings you always wanted! Looking for that bikini already, ladies?

5. Water the garden while on your evening walk

Many of us have a habit of going for a walk or simply going for a stroll in the neighborhood after a long day’s work. Why not stroll in your garden while watering it in the evening? What’s the point? The point is that if you water your garden in the day or in the afternoon, much of the water gets evaporated. Whereas in the evening, as there is less heat, the water gets soaked into the soil overnight for better retention. It’s fun, it’s relaxing and it saves water.
